UPDATES
The theater is in full effect these days and is hosting up to 15 riders on any thursday night. I've been busy with getting into Massage Therapy school and playing with my son and getting my Mom moved in with us so finding time to ride outside of my regularly scheduled thursday night is hard to come by. I have recently put together my newest flatland bike, a Hoffman Big Daddy and have taken it out for some "shakedown" rides and I have assembeld a 85' Skyway Streetbeat for some more oldschool variety. I'll get pics of them today and get them up on the vehicles page. My newest acquisition is a 86' Hutch Windstyler that I'm collecting some parts to build. This F/F completes my Hutch bike collection and will be another bike for my son to inherit. Speaking of that, I just finished building up his first 20 inch BMX bike last week. It's a 82' Redline MX-II and it's super cool. All I need is some brake calipers for it and it's done. He's got awhile before that'll be rideable for him so I've got some time to come up with brakes. For those of you who haven't seen it, or just like to watch it from time to time... I've put together a flatland vid of me riding my trusty 87' Haro Master. Check it out and get some inspiration knowing that a 31 year old is still learning some new flatland moves. You can view it by "left clicking" this link,
Robs Old School Flatland video
It will open in your computers default media player automatically. It's a 10.3 MB file so you better have a good interent connection. Once your computer opens the file and it starts playing you can save it to your harddrive to view it later. I don't mind.

Once those images settle in your brain, then check out my newest kickturn video I've put together. It's short but sweet.
Robs Kickturn contest run

So I still encourage all you "Old School" riders out there to send in pictures of you riding and/or doing kickturns. Whether it be on an old bike or a new bike. Just as long as the pic has some oldschool flavor, it will be posted. Now go ride!!!

NEWS FROM THE WEB
The Rockville BMX discussion group is DEAD. It has suffered the same ironic fate as the famed shop and fallen victim to a lack of participation and attention. Craig has started up a new group on Yahoo! though and you can check it out to see if you belong. Click on the text below

Also, if your in need of some Old School Parts or Components, be sure to check out these online Bike stores. Simply click the logos below to be transferred over to thier awesome sites. I have personally purchased from both shops and can tell you that they are two of the most reliable sources for hard to find OldSchool parts without the potential sketchiness and hassles of buying on Ebay.

RUMOURS
Rumour has it that Frederick has become the destination for winter riders all over Maryland. Due to some closings around the area, many riders are gathering in a small warehouse behind a bike shop. Some BIG things are being thrown down there and footage is being discussed. Could a no-name town in Maryland really be the last of the bike only indoor parks? Could be...More talk of Don Woolford has been circulating around and several riders have told me they had spotted him at the Arlington Skatepark on New Year's day riding like he had never stopped. He was also rumored to have worn a full face motorcycle helmet. Could the mysterious one be making a comeback? We'll see....tune in for more updates as they happen....
As usual, none of this has been verified as of this posting, but is heard to be true.
